Way Kambas Eco Tourism Labuhan Ratu IX and Braja Harjosari Villages Participate in Travel Mart 2021

Directorate of Ecosystem Services on Conservation Areas, DG. Natural Resources and Ecosystem Conservation, Ministry of Environment and Forestry, held a Buyer Meet Seller activity for the utilization of environmental services at Ambarukmo Plaza, Yogyakarta on 3-5 December 2021. The activity as promoting and marketing of environmental services utilization in conservation areas. Participated by National Parks and Nature Resources Conservation Agency of Sumatera, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, Jabanustra, Maluku and Papua Regions.

The event was opened by the Director General of Natural Resources and Ecosystem Conservation, Ir. Wiratno, M.Sc., who gave his appreciation and support in the event. Currently, outdoor recreation is an option compared to malls, of course with the health protocol implementation, After COVID-19, outdoor activity/nature tourism can be a higher choice.

In the Sumatera region, participant from Lampung who participated consisted of Way Kambas National Park, Labuhan Ratu IX and Braja Harjosari Villages that assisted by YAPEKA-CTSS-HIMPASAD, LPPSLH-Mitra Bentala. This activity is fully supported by SGP/ACB in WKNP. Two villages promote tourism potential and supporting products such as food and beverages for tourists.

Participant from Labuhan Ratu IX who involved in travel mart stated that the activity will support to tourism product and package and hope that could participate in special travel mart such as village tourism. In the future, need to improve the tourism aspect included management, product improvement, village tourism package and product promotion. The enthusiasm of visitors is very high with this activity, which can provide direct benefit for the community around the conservation area and support the efforts to preserve the conservation area in the future.
